Introduction:
Segregation/Racism is something that has been going on ever since people started to realize that not everyone looked the same, and that we were all different. Brown v. Board of Education and the Integration of American Schools was such a turning point because this was when white and African American kids were allowed to be in the same place (school) at the same time. Before this case, segregation was a very big issue which most everyone was involved in. The African Americans sadly were mistreated, having their rights as American citizens stripped from them. Society would be different if it weren't for this case because students would most likely still be separated by color. If this event didn't happen, life would not be the same and Americans wouldn't have half of the opportunities they have now.
