Segregation of white and colored kids usually made the African American children who attended segregated schools feel subjacent. Just to go to school, colored children would have to walk a few miles, a bus not being an option, to school. Yet the schools available for the white children were usually within a few blocks of where a child lived. If you were colored, their were a lot of things that were not available to you. The things that were available would always be a downgraded compared to the white person's.
